Project Overview

APS Group designed and supplied a skid-mounted, prewired variable speed bore pump control system for Pilbara Minerals in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The system maintains a constant and reliable water supply pressure while monitoring level and flow values to ensure consistent performance. Incorporating a solar and battery backup system, it delivers uninterrupted power to control components and the remote monitoring telemetry system. This project highlights APS Group’s capability in delivering efficient, dependable, and sustainable electrical solutions suited to remote and demanding operational environments.

Scope and key achievements

  • Design, development, and manufacture of a skid-mounted variable speed bore pump control system.
  • Preparation of detailed electrical schematics to support installation, commissioning, and long-term maintenance.
  • Integration of a solar and battery backup power package for continuous critical system operation.
  • Setup of remote monitoring capability for real-time tracking of levels, flows, pressure, and system status.
  • Programming and optimisation of the VSD to maintain consistent pump performance across site conditions.
  • Full electrical and functional testing to confirm reliability prior to mobilisation to site.
