Working closely with our valued client Geomarine, we provided a major structural steel package for the primary seawater intake station at the Mardie Salt and Potash Project. This project, fully owned by Mardie Minerals Pty Ltd, represents a remarkable opportunity for a large-scale solar evaporation operation on the stunning Pilbara coast in Western Australia.
The Brief
Diverse Capability
Our dedicated team at APS Group took on the challenge to provide, drafting, fabrication, pre-assembly and delivery all structural steelworks and trash screen arrangement. The project required working with a diverse scope of materials including carbon steel, extensive stainless steel works and custom FRP gratings. In our commitment to precise execution, APS also assisted with various design aspects and technical solutions to ensure an overall successful completion.
Stringent Quality Control
Due to the projects location and functionality, APS Group ensured all protective coatings and treatments adhered to the highest standards, safeguarding the structural metals from the harsh marine environment. We maintained comprehensive Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) throughout, to guarantee the integrity of every manufactured component, meticulously documented and compiled in the Manufacturing Data Report (MDR)
The Results

Each item was clearly labeled with a piece mark, conforming to the design drawings and specifications, streamlining the assembly process.
Total Project Supply
The successful execution of the structural supply package by APS Group included the delivery of various critical components, including drop-in service platforms, rubber lined pile clamps, steel support members, handrails, bollards, barrier guard rails, vehicle gates, stainless trash screen panels and support frames, access ladders, walkways and dissipator covers.
